Care for seniors like our own
Volunteers of all ages are very much needed to serve a group of elders living in the care home, assisted living housing, and day care centre who not only need assistance in activities of daily living, but also enjoy the companionship of people from all walks of life. We help elders fight against loneliness,, helplessness, and boredom. We believe volunteers are part of the care team providing companionship and support to our seniors. We provide continuous learning and make every effort to ensure that volunteer achievements and contributions are recognized and rewarded.
Nature :
1. Volunteering at S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Seniors Care Home, Chieng's Adult Day Care Centre, Assisted Living Housing in Vancouver and Richmond.
2. Flexible time, on-going
Duties:
1. Assist care and recreation staffs running recreational programs.
2. Attend in-house training periodically.
3. 1 to 1 Friendly Visit Program.
4. Administrative support. e.g. Data entry, Reception
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
1. Mandarin or Cantonese speaking ability. Must be able to speak either Mandarin or Cantonese.
2. Volunteer experience as asset
3. Ability to speak English and asset.
